Moving up applies to new referrals from that point. Existing ones keep their original terms. Add-ons like the CRM count towards commission if the firm buys them.

Straight answers before you sign up.
Who can I refer?
Any trade or contracting business new to WorkLane: sole traders, small firms or bigger outfits. Plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, landscapers, maintenance firms and the like. Your mates, your subbies, and firms you work with or get work from.
What counts as a referral?
A business new to WorkLane (no account or active trial) that signs up with your link or code, or that you introduced to us in writing first. Your link is remembered for 90 days and the first partner to refer them wins.
What doesn't count?
Your own business, or businesses owned by you, your business partners or your staff. Firms that came from paid ads using the WorkLane name. Spam, bought lists, or anything that breaks PECR.
Do I need to use WorkLane myself?
No. You don't need a WorkLane account to be a partner, though plenty of the trades who'd refer it already use it.
How and when do I get paid?
By bank transfer on the 15th, for everything earned the previous month, with a statement showing each firm and amount. There's no minimum, so even a single sole trader referral is paid the month it's earned. VAT-registered businesses invoice us and add VAT. Everyone else gets a statement and is paid the net amount.
When does commission start?
Once the firm you referred has paid their first full month. The one-off bonus is earned when they pay their second. Commission then runs for their first 12 months.
Will they know I'm paid?
They should. As a partner you agree to tell anyone you refer that you may get a referral fee. If you'd rather not take anything, pass the value on to them as a discount instead.
What if they get a refund?
The matching commission and bonus come off your next payout.
Can I leave?
Either side can end it with 30 days' notice. Commission you've already earned is still paid for its full period, unless the rules were broken.
