Moving up applies to new referrals from that point. Existing ones keep their original terms. Add-ons like the CRM count towards commission if your client buys them.

Most professional bodies expect commission to be disclosed, so as a partner you agree to tell clients you may get a referral fee.

Straight answers before you sign up.
What counts as a referral?
A client new to WorkLane (no account or active trial) who signs up with your link or code, or who you introduced to us in writing first. Your link is remembered for 90 days and the first partner wins.
What doesn't count?
Your own practice, or businesses owned by your partners or staff. Clients who came from paid ads using the WorkLane name. Spam, cold lists, or anything that breaks PECR.
How and when do I get paid?
By bank transfer on the 15th, for everything earned the previous month, with a statement showing each client and amount. There's no minimum, so even a single sole trader referral is paid the month it's earned. VAT-registered practices invoice us and add VAT. Everyone else gets a statement and is paid the net amount.
When does commission start?
Once your client has paid their first full month. The one-off bonus is earned when they pay their second. Commission then runs for their first 12 months.
Do my clients know I'm paid?
They should. As a partner you agree to tell clients you may receive a referral fee, which is what most professional bodies expect. If you'd rather not take a fee at all, pass the value on to them as a discount.
What if a client gets a refund?
The matching commission and bonus come off your next payout.
Can I leave?
Either side can end it with 30 days' notice. Commission you've already earned is still paid for its full period, unless the rules were broken.
