Logging hours
How staff record time against jobs, and the reminders that stop timesheets going missing.

Hours logged against jobs are what turn a day's work into a costed, billable record.
Step by step (staff)
- Open the job you worked on.
- Log your hours for the day against it.
- Repeat per job if you were on more than one — that's what makes job costing accurate.
The reminders
- If someone hasn't logged hours for the previous working day, WorkLane nudges them the next morning.
- Managers and admins get a weekly staff-hours summary every Monday morning, so gaps surface within days rather than at month end.
Hours feed job cost. If your margins look wrong on a job, missing hours is the first thing to check.
